International visitors to Vietnam increased by 21.5% in 10 months of 2025
According to the report of the Vietnam National Administration of Tourism, the number of international visitors to Vietnam in October 2025 reached over 1.7 million, an increase of 13.8% over the same period in 2024. Thus, in the first 10 months of 2025, Vietnam tourism welcomed more than 17.1 million visitors.
In October, the number of international visitors to Vietnam from major markets all had strong growth. The top 10 largest international visitor markets include: China, South Korea, Taiwan (China), India, Russia, the US, Japan, Cambodia, Malaysia, Thailand.
China is still the largest market sending visitors to Vietnam with more than 433,000 visitors, accounting for 40% of the total number of international visitors. In second place is South Korea with 360,000 visitors, followed by Taiwan with more than 106,000 visitors.
After many consecutive months of decline, October 2025 also witnessed the return of Thai tourists when the number of visitors increased by 20% compared to September 2025.
In addition, some markets had a decrease in the number of visitors compared to September 2025 such as Japan (down 22%), Malaysia (down 19%) ...
The number of domestic tourists in October 2025 is estimated at about 6 million, of which about 4 million are staying. The total number of domestic tourists in the first 10 months of 2025 reached 125 million.
